Dog Training
I am a dog trainer, and get very frustrated when someone has me come train there dog and then they do not want to keep up with it when I am not there. I usually go once aweek to each home and tell them to spend 10-15 minutes twice a day on the lessons they have learned. So many times I go back and they tell me they have not been consistence, but wonder why the dog is listening to me and not them, If you are training your dog are you being consistent. Please let me know, I am curious to how many people actually stick to the training.
Starting dog training-tips and tricks
A dog always needs training to be,well a good dog indeed.DOGS will be dogs until they aren't taught to behave well, respond well and a lot of daily day to day basis coir. 1.Have loads of your patience when training your dog for the first time.2.Teach dogs when they are puppies i.e. around 2 months old otherwise they are difficult to train, but not impossible.3.Never beat your dog with anything.4.Give a treat to them when they obey you or come close to you.5.Always adore them when they come on seeing you.6.Do not punish them after they misbehave. Give more tips and tricks of DOG TRAINING and of dogs behavior if you are an dog lover by heart.
i need advice on my dog "training" please share if you have any Jumping barking
I have an 18 month chow/ golden mix that i have had for about a month now.. when we got him he didnt know how to sit, laydown, fetch or give paw... My husband taught him all that in the first weekend we had him! However our biggest issues are teaching him to NOT jump up on everyone he sees and NOT to bark at everyone and everydog that comes into his sight... My husband is trying, and none of the methods seem to work, ive done some research online, but doesnt seem to be getting anywhere with those either... My daughter is getting really discouraged, she doesnt even want to walk him anymore because he seems to be out of control... i know paatience is a key factor with dogs, but people are starting to not even visit anymore because they dont want to be barbrred with dog when \they walk in the door... Plesae if you have any advice that would be greatly appreciated... Anything that worked OR didnt work for you?? Thanks in advance
Service Dog Training
I am looking for information on how to best finish the training of my service dog, Shay. He is a 15 month old Newfie/Lab mix who I rescued from the shelter when he was 9 weeks. We have an awesome relationship and he goes where I go, to a point. I have MS and need him for balance, more than anything. He does like to bring me "presents", but these are usually limited to dirty socks and dead mice. We've been through puppy, basic, obedience and advanced obedience training classes, which is why he is so well behaved, but I am having difficulty getting him to bring me things that I NEED, like clean socks, my cane, my jacket, etc. (I have trouble bending down). Part of this is due to the fact that he wasn't allowed to touch most of those things when he was small. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Dog training
I have two puppies in my house and I am trying to train them not to make noise when someone is coming in the house. Do you have any ideas how is it possible?
Did you know this about dog training?
Lola´s vet came to see her (he´s a family friend so she has some privileges) and told me that dogs learned things the first 7 months of their lives. It seems I will have to hurry up to make her have her diploma. LOL She is 4 months old and knows "sit" and "down" at my commands, but I haven´t taken her out so much so that she can learn to cross the streets and other urban knowledges. Did you know that? Did you train your dog? How did you do it? Share. Happy posting

What is the best dog training advice out there?
There's an infomercial I saw awhile back that claimed to train a bad dog in as little as one week. I forgot the name of it and I really need to get this DVD.Or for that matter anyone out there who has used some dog training material tell me the best ones that worked for you. Thanks.
Dog Training Update=)
Just had our 8 month old Jack Russel Terrier trained for a little more than a week. We wanted her to behave better and stop on biting our feet and furniture ... it helped a bit and she learned a few triacks like staying and shaking hands but she still has to be disclipined when it comes to her "rowdiness". Are Jaack Russel Terriers really hyper and stubborn? haha! We love her to pieces but we're hoping she mellows down a bit
Dog training: Controlling barking
My English springer spaniel, Max, has a thing about shadows. I've had him for three years now and he is approximately six years old. Until January we lived with my dad, but now we live in our own council flat, and spend a lot of time at my mom's house. When the sun is shining, and creating shadows everywhere, Max barks his head off. It doesn't matter if we're in the house, sitting on a bench in the park, or standing at the bus stop; if there's a shadow, he will bark at it. We're currently attending Canine Good Citizen classes and he's doing really well. Our trainer, Kay, says he's a very intelligent dog. She also said, however, that there is nothing she can do to help with the barking. She said that if he were a puppy she might be able to work with him, but since he's now, we just have to try to distract hjim with toys and thing whenever he starts to get upset. It doesn't work. The only thing that works is closing the curtains when we're in the house, and obviously we don't want to have to do that all the time when they weather is so lovely.I can't believe that nothing can be done to stop this habit of attacking shadows. He is a lovely dog and this is really the only...
