| Those new designer dog breeds | | I remember a few years ago hearing about a cock-a-poo - which is a cocker spaniel poodle mix.or how about an airdoodle - an airedale-poodle mix or a Bordoodle - a border collie and you guessed it poodle mix. Of course the ever popular labradoodle.I wonder if it is the name poodle that lends it to such creativityNow I heard a new one a bagel --- yes a bagel -- a basset hound-beagle mix. I wonder if you can get one with cream cheese? So what do you think of these? Are they a fad or just an upscale way of saying mixed-breed.
You heard of any good ones? Seen any. I have seen a labradoodle and it was cute.
| | Want a designer dog? Check the pound. | | Designer Dog?? What the heck is a Designer Dog you ask?? A "designer" dog (as the media has labeled them) is a cross between two purebred dogs. A purebred dog is one that has been bred over many generations to breed true. Meaning each puppy that is born looks and has the same temperament and characteristics as one another. In most cases a standard is written and breeders must follow this written standard. Only dogs which make the written standard are to be bred. Purebred dogs are beneficial in that, when you buy a purebred dog you know what you are getting. You know how big your puppy will grow and you know basically what type of temperament and care the dog will need. You know the dogs limits, whether it is capable of agility, hunting, search and rescue, police work, herding, flock guardian, or just simply a companion dog. You have a pretty good idea if the dog will be good with your kids, you know if they will have a tendency to wander or if they will stick close to home. You have a pretty good idea if they will like strangers, or if they will fear them. When one breeds purebred dogs great care must be taken to... | |

| The Perfect Dog!!!! | | This is just for fun....Not including the dog that you already have, because Im sure that you love them to death anyway...But if you could make the perfect dog for you, What would it be, look like, personality, size...
Be as wacky or honest as you like...And what would you call it????For me I am Bias for Doberman's ...But I would make a dog the size of a Great Dane, colour of a Dingo (sandy), temperament of Doberman....And I would call it a Great Blonde Dobe ...LOL..(Gee that was creative)...
| | Labradoodles | | I recently a puppy that was a cross between a labrador and a poodle. I'm told that this is the latest trend in designer dogs, but I think this is not in the best interests of these breeds as they are so different. For instance, the nose on the labrador is much different to that of the poodle, surely this affects their breathing capabilities. Does anyone know about this recent fashion item? | |

| Clothes for dogs | | When we walk on the street we can see many dogs with beautiful clothes. Dog clothing is a booming industry that has designers from all around the world flocking to the designer dog clothing market in order to add their style and flair to dog clothing. The reason for the huge trend is because more and more dog owners are realizing that their dogs need clothing. Dog clothing has evolved from being just a piece of material to keep your dog warm in winter. Now there is more of an emphasis on fashion and designers are even making luxury dog clothing. If fact some of the top designers in the fashion world have now started bringing out lines of clothing in the doggie fashion world. Do you like to make your dogs wear clothes?

| | Putting Clothes on Dogs....Do you Like To Dress Up Your Dog? | | Making your dog as cute as it can be is a very enjoyable and fun task. It is sort of like how we use to play dress up with our dolls as kids. Dressing our dogs can be just as much, if not more, enjoyable.
There are dog clothes in just about every style and color you can imagine. Do you have clothes and accessories that match your dog's clothes and accessories?I am wondering also, does anyone have a special closet just for their dog's clothes? As long as the clothing is not restrictive to the dog, most dogs don't mind getting dressed up now and then. Don't you agree?I think dogs get a kick out of their owners fussing over them and dressing them up. It is like receiving extra attention. What do you think?Have you seen all the special dog boutiques popping up all over the internet? I know there is one called Glamour Dog and Designer Dog Fashions. Does anyone know of a dog boutique on the internet? Just give me the name here and not the entire link, I can google it and find it.

| They Call them Jugs | | But I prefer Jack Pug. It's a relatively new designer dog, specially bred for apartment living. Or so Im told. It's a mix of Jack Russell and Pug, aka 40 pounds of hurling chaos.Ours is named Fred. He's just over 5 years old. Loyal and stupid. Clumsy and adorable.Anybody have one? Want more information? | |
