| Question about composting | | If I use a biodegradable cat litter... could I empty the litter box into the compost bin?
It would really reduse my trash if that were possible. I pay $1.50 per bag for the trash men to take them. Currently we go through 2 bags a week. I am finding ways to cut that down, and being able to compost the litter would really cut it down a lot!

| | Doggie doo doo duty? | | Everybody has to try something new in their lives do we not? Well today was that day for me to try a new adventure so to speak. This is something that I find and did finally realize is as nasty as having a baby and needing to change that poopy diaper daily. I own a beagle named Buster. Now I take him for walks daily and not once have I ever taken a baggie with me to do the doggie doo doo clean up like a good pet owning citizen should. And to say that in 2 years he has yet to take a dump on a neighhbors yard is amazing. I time the walks right after he does his bussiness in my yard. Now for some reason today I took a baggie with me. Just a premonition maybe. Well after about 2 blocks he stops, squats and lets it loose. Now I grabbed the baggie turning it inside out setting my hand inside the doggie doo doo toilet bag reaching down I grasp the poop in the baggie with my hands. The heat was beyond comparison. The stench was that way beyond a sick babies diaper. This was the most disgusting thing I've had to do in my life yet. Yuck. Ickyyy. Phew!! Etc etc. I think I'll be timning his walks after he already does his business at home. At home I grab the small rake and shovel and toss it... | |

| Do you have a GREEN BIN that helps the enivronment? | | I live in Canada so it's more of a enviromental and conservative country. Since Canda's trying to reduce garbage. We use a Green Bin. Not all parts of Canada have this. Green bin is basically a bin where you put food or left overs in it such as Baked goods, Cereal, eggs or egg shells, orange or orange peels. facial tissues, fish or fish parts, Pet Waste and more. It's like an recycling bin. These things are planted into the ground, so plants and trees can grow healthy. Green bin isn't the only things you can do for the enviroment. Have you particapted in Earth day?
We should think more of stopping global warming or enviromental problems not just by using a Green Bin? What are you going to do to help with the enviroment and do you have a green bin? | | Cats and Dogs waste- how do I stop them from coming back to my garden. | | I am so fed up with cleaning up after my neighbors cat waste.The cat likes to come over to my garden and deposit his/her waste in my rose garden. The smell is horrible. I spent over 100.00 trying to purchase products to disguise the smell so they don't return. That has failed.Does anybody have any suggestions.
